FREE PLAN PATH

Use free plans to find your next project direction

Free plans are a practical way to explore project directions before choosing a larger collection. They let you browse project types, compare documentation styles, and see which builds make you want to head to the workshop.

What to look for in a free plan

Check finished dimensions, materials, drawings, critical measurements, joinery, assembly order, and tool assumptions. Free does not remove the need to evaluate whether the plan is complete enough for the project.

Use samples as inspiration

A sample collection can help answer a simpler question: do you want to build furniture, shop storage, a gift, an outdoor piece, or a compact useful object next? Once that direction is clear, finding the right plan gets easier.

About the 50-plan offer

The Ted's Woodworking funnel currently uses a free-plan opt-in destination supplied for this site. Treat it as a low-commitment way to inspect project ideas. Any claims or terms shown after you click are the merchant's and can change.

What comes after free

If the samples point you toward a deeper library, read our Ted's Woodworking review before considering the paid offer. If not, return to project discovery and keep narrowing by fit.
